A new chapter for APQ’s expansion overseas: not sailing alone, but jointly building a “reliable” ecosystem

A new chapter for APQ’s expansion overseas: not sailing alone, but jointly building a “reliable” ecosystem

"The global pie is just that big. It's just being cut from China to Vietnam. The total amount hasn't increased, but tariffs force you to come!"

When this statement comes from a person who has been deeply involved in Vietnam, it is no longer just a viewpoint, but a fact that China's manufacturing industry must face directly. Under the influence of global tariff policies, the "geographic transfer" of orders has become a foregone conclusion. Facing this large-scale industrial migration driven by the times, how does APQ break through overseas?

1

In the past, we attempted to break into overseas markets by using the traditional exhibition model, but the results were meager. We realized that a single sailboat struggling alone in unfamiliar waters would be hard-pressed to withstand the waves, while a giant sailing together can sail far. Therefore, our strategy for venturing into the overseas market underwent a profound transformation.

01.

The truth about expanding overseas: a "passive" inevitability

  • "Geographical transfer" of orders: Overseas customers, especially those in the European and American markets, must transfer their orders to factories outside China due to proof of origin (such as requiring over 30% of raw materials to be sourced locally) and tariff policies.
  • The harsh reality confirmed by the data: a certain enterprise originally had 800,000 domestic orders, but now it has 500,000 domestic orders and 500,000 orders in Vietnam. The total volume has not changed significantly, but the production coordinates have shifted overseas.

Against this backdrop, China's manufacturing industry is gradually relocating to Vietnam, Malaysia, and other places. On the one hand, it accelerates the construction of overseas industrial weak spots, and on the other hand, it reshapes the systems of supply chain, talent chain, and management chain. Therefore, the industrial sectors in Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam and Malaysia will inevitably undergo rapid upgrading in the next 3-5 years, creating new opportunities for a large number of automation supporting enterprises in China.

02.

Reality: Opportunities and "pitfalls" coexist

  • "Breakpoint" in the supply chain: While the domestic supply chain is world-class, Vietnam's roads are narrow and logistics are inconvenient, leading to a heavy reliance on imports for many key materials, which has resulted in an 18-20% increase in material costs.
  • "Battle for Talent": The influx of Chinese-funded enterprises has driven up labor costs. A Chinese-speaking HR/finance professional can earn up to 47 million VND (approximately RMB 14,000) per month, which is 2-3 times the local rate. This is not just a battle of costs, but also a test of talent reliability.
  • The importance of public relations: From the strict restrictions imposed by customs on the import of used equipment to the tax bureau and fire department, every step may lead to pitfalls. To venture overseas, one must understand policies, engage in public relations, and be adept at cost control.

APQ dances with the platform to achieve precise entry

Nowadays, we no longer blindly "sweep the streets" to attract customers, but choose to cooperate with the international platform IEAC (China New Quality Manufacturing Overseas Alliance) to build an ecosystem and win a new future together.

3
  • Value complementarity: The platform side holds the local factory resources and trust endorsement that we urgently need, but lacks competitive core products; APQ, on the other hand, can provide reliable products and solutions that have been tempered in the domestic market, but has limited knowledge of local market rules.
  • Mode Innovation: APQ actively participated in the special promotion meeting organized by IEAC. Under this mode, we only need to focus on our "reliable products" and "excellent services", maximizing the stability and technological advantages of our products; IEAC completes the front-end resource docking and trust building. Through this "specialized personnel for specialized tasks" mode, not only has our overseas expansion efficiency been improved, but a win-win situation of "1+1>2" has also been achieved.

APQ takes advantage of the "boat" to sail far and deeply embeds itself into the industrial chain

During this trip to Southeast Asia, the APQ team also made new discoveries during their extensive research in Malaysia and Singapore. Malaysia, as a recipient of industrial spillovers from Singapore, is home to many manufacturing industries. During this period, the APQ team conducted in-depth research on a US high-tech enterprise in Malaysia, whose core equipment was "deeply embedded" with APQ industrial control computers. This also provides a standard template for our products exports overseas.

6
  • Long-term stability is the core: a certain core device needs to meet the requirement of stable operation 7*24 hours, and in some environments, it should be moisture-proof and dust-proof, and capable of achieving core data collection and remote communication.
  • Reliability remains the key: The APQ IPC200, with its excellent performance, strong compatibility, and redundant design, has become their firm choice.

This is not just a research or a product sale, but a successful case of APQ's products being embedded into customers' overall solutions. It is also a key language for APQ to go beyond China and successfully impress overseas customers with its reliability.

05.

Raise the banner of APQ and build a permanent stronghold

Whether it's collaboration or industry integration, the autonomy of the APQ brand will always be our foundation. In 2023, we officially established an overseas official independent website, which is not only a showcase for our brand image but also a 24*7 global business hub. It allows overseas customers to match their needs and make precise selections anytime, anywhere, ensuring that no matter what channel they use to contact us, they can ultimately return to the core of our enterprise, which is "more worthwhile because of reliability".

Conclusion

The journey to the global market is not destined to be a solitary voyage. APQ's choice of Vietnam is not a passive transfer, but an active integration; it is not a single breakthrough, but an ecological co-construction. We use "reliability" as the boat and "win-win" as the sail, working together with local partners to embed into the global industrial chain. This is not only an extension of business, but also a transfer of value - making industry more reliable to achieve the beauty of life. The path ahead is clear, and Apq will embark on a new journey of reliability with you.
